The Story

This double album documents Black Sabbath’s blistering gig at the Electric Circus, in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 29 April 1970, during the Black Sabbath Tour, in its entirety.

Black Sabbath’s self-titled debut album was released on 13 February 1970. The band went on to perform a slew of shows across the United Kingdom in support of the album. Towards the end of April, Sabbath played a handful of concerts in continental Europe, including two shows in Switzerland. The first of which, on 27th of the month, was the band’s legendary show at the Montreux Casino.

Then, on 29th, Black Sabbath played an astonishing set at the Electric Circus, in Lausanne – which notably included the lone live performance of Sleeping Village. Also included here, are a number of the band’s most iconic early cuts such as Black Sabbath, War Pigs, N.I.B., Fairies Wear Boots and more.
